How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Coralytic. To cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Tap Coralytic Pro
- Tap Cancel Subscription
You'll continue to have Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Coralytic purchase, and request a refund.
I lost my Pro subscription after reinstalling. What do I do?
Open Coralytic, go to the paywall (More tab → Upgrade to Pro, or any Pro feature), and tap "Restore purchases" at the bottom. Apple will reactivate your subscription on this device.
Where is my data stored?
All your tank data, parameter logs, livestock entries, and photos are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How does AI Insights work?
When you tap AI Insights (Pro feature), Coralytic sends an anonymized snapshot of your tank context (parameters, trends, task counts) to Google's Gemini API. Gemini returns 2–4 actionable suggestions in your language. Insights are cached for 24 hours to minimize requests.
Is the AI advice reliable?
AI Insights are informational aids, not professional advice. They're often useful for spotting trends and suggesting actions, but they can be wrong or incomplete. For critical issues, consult a qualified marine aquarium veterinarian or experienced reefkeeper.
How can I export my data?
Data export is on our roadmap for a future release. For now, your data lives on-device and is included in your standard iCloud iPhone backup.
Why is the app free if it has a subscription?
The free tier lets you track 1 reef tank with full functionality (logging, livestock, tasks, ICP entries) for 6 months of history. Pro unlocks unlimited tanks, full history, and AI Insights — features that have ongoing infrastructure costs (especially the AI).
Is my data shared with anyone?
No, except for the anonymized AI Insights data sent to Google Gemini if you have an active Pro subscription and use that feature. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
